Hoffman exits Loop

The founder of Loop Mobile, Ian Rodwell has returned to the helm of the ASX listed company to lead it into its next phase. Rodwell is replacing current CEO Martin Hoffman who has resigned to focus on a raft of new media and technology sector based investments. The company has also announced details of a Rights Issue to raise up to approximately $1.5 million in total..

Hoffman will remain as a non-executive director of the company. Hoffman joined the mobile content company in late 2006 to take it through an IPO and successful listing on the ASX in early 2007. Prior to joining Loop Hoffman was CEO of Ninemsn from 2003 to July 2006 and held senior roles at Fairfax Business Magazines and Fairfax Digital.

Rodwell will return as CEO and Managing Director effective 1 August.

Loop Mobile chairman Greg McCann said "Ian will bring his tremendous passion and expertise to the wider role as we continue to develop our products and services, and exploit the growing market opportunities."
