Ninemsn recruits ebay brand exec
Natalie Apostolou
ninemsn has appointed former ebay.co.uk brand director, Carolyn Managh, as Director of Marketing, replacing Tony Thomas who exited the company in May. It is believed that an announcement regarding a replacement for CEO Tony Faure may be made within the next fortnight.
Managh will assume the role from September 15, moving to Sydney from London where she was most recently developing brand strategies for eBay. Prior to eBay, Managh, a New Zealander ran her own highly successful consultancy developing brand strategies for clients including Gillette, Nestle Rowntree, Kellogg’s, Stella Artois, Findus and GSK.
“We completed an extensive search for someone who understands not only brands inside and out but the online market as well. Carolyn has great experience in developing brands and her client-focused, results-driven approach matches perfectly with ninemsn," said ninemsn Human Resource Director, Josie Gosling.
Managh has also worked as global innovation director for United Biscuits and MD of integrated London agency Hill & Watson. Prior to the UK, she was Marketing Director in New Zealand at Kraft General Foods.
