Internet broadcaster Viocorp has reported 200% revenue growth in the six months to August 2008 on the back of work for clients including NAB Capital and World Youth Day.
The company would not disclose its full revenue results, but claimed the growth was a result of brands’ increasing desire to use online broadcasts and VioTV, Viocorp’s web TV portal. VioTV allows brands to set up their own internet TV presence within their website.
The service can be customised by each client and integrates applications such as playlists and social networking websites. Clients include Tourism Queensland, World Youth Day and Sydney Film Festival. The surge in revenue has allowed Viocorp, to double its workforce to 24 over the past year.
Viocorp CEO Ian Gardiner said: "In the last six months, our investment in building innovative new services such as VioTV has really paid off as more leading brands realise that they need to connect with a target market which is rapidly moving online. “Much of our growth has been due to our constant drive to innovate around our products. Our full service audio and video web casting continues to perform well, but we believe our future lies in ongoing research and development."
"VioTV was a result of this and in the last 12 months we have also developed a user generated content model for Viostream, live Flash streaming and embedded content within website capabilities.”
