The service will see a LCD screens with estimated time of arrival, ABC news feeds, community information, and location-based advertising. The service will be a boon for connected travellers with internet feed filtered using Webshield filtering technology toprevent any embarrassing incidents.

In addition to the free wi-fi service, mobile users will be able to tap into into the Podmo mobile entertainment platform using the Podmo mobile entertainment network. Podmo can be accessed via regular Wi-Fi and through bluetooth technology, which can be found on up to 90% of mobile devices, bringing some level of connectivity and entertainemnt to a wider range of commuters.

According to Podmo CEO Che Metcalfe, Podmo's patent pending software turns each bus into a mini-community that becomes part of the Podmo community.

“Once connected to the network users can download all forms of content, browse pages, read the news and weather or communicate with each other via text or voice,” Che explains.
