Ansearch has snapped up the former CIO of Be.Interactive Mathew Chamley to head up its subsidiary Webfirm's WA office as GM.

Webfirm is Ansearch's web development and optimisation division and recently reported a 53% increase in revenue for its half year results. In July 2008 Webfirm opened Australia's first web business storefront in Melbourne's St Kilda Road, with additional retail outlets planned nationally.

Webfirm executive officer Andrew Beecher who has overseen the company's national operations from Perth since March 2008 will return to Melbourne to assist with the national expansion, while retaining ongoing responsibility for the division. "Andrew has executed an enormous amount of positive change within the division and the business is now poised for solid national growth on the back of the expected increase in business confidence in 2009," said Ansearch CEO David Burden.  The appointment reunites the executives. Burden, hired Chamley in 2005 when he was running Legion Interactive.

Chamley said, "Webfirm has a young and dynamic team and is poised for further growth particularly in the current economic climate, where marketing budgets are under pressure and SMEs need to deliver verifiable results from their marketing spend. I'm excited to help develop online solutions for clients that enable them to reach their target customers at a fraction of traditional marketing costs." Chamley's experience includes three years at Vodafone Australia in various integration, services and technical architect roles and has been with Be.Interactive (formerly Legion Interactive) since 2005.
