As part of a five year deal securing the broadcast rights to the Formula 1 from 2011, Channel Ten have also acquired the rights for online, mobile and IPTV mediums.

Channel Ten's head of Corporate communications Janette McLoughlin would not be drawn on exactly what that would mean for online and mobile viewers viewers, however one could reasonably assume that that the full F1 season will be available to Australians on all three screens (TV, PC, Mobile) in some way.

All races will be broadcast live on Ten's OneHD digital sports channel with replays shown on Channel Ten.

Sports broadcasting has been venturing further into the digital arena with SBS recently broadcasting the Tour de France live online, Bigpond streams horse racing events live and Foxtel also ESPN live streams to its subscribers.
