In the last few days we have heard from an increasing number of regional Australians frustrated that they have no access to the
new digital channel 7TWO.
Whilst
those tuning in to Seven branded stations have been able to tune into
7TWO, and Southern Cross Broadcasting has agreed to start airing the
channel on December 1st, Prime remains tight lipped about their future
plans. Their standard response to customer enquiries being.
“Thank you for your enquiry. PRIME hopes to make an announcement on its multi-channels in the near future”
However according to the
Mediahunter
blog, the fights all in the name. Apparently Prime weren't too happy
with the 7TWO branding, which is too closely affiliated with Channel 7
branding.
Perhaps regional Australians would have preferred one of the
alternative names speculated upon before launch.
