Further $6.5 million in fines for lonely hearts SMS spammers

17 December 2009 | The Federal Court in Brisbane has imposed a further $6.5 million dollars against an SMS spam scam costing Australian lonely hearts in excess of $4 million since 2005.


ACMA gives Tongue a lashing over SMS Spam

12:00 AM | Recently rebranded media agency Tongue, Vodafone Hutchison Australia, Coca-Cola, and mobile firm Big Mobile, have all been reprimanded by the media regulator for sending spam messages, including some financial penalties.
